The embrace of love

The embrace of two elephants in love. Now here's an interesting story of this art. The elephants have not been assigned a gender. 

Basically if you are heterosexual you can see them as such, if you are in a same sex relationship then they are the same sex. I leave the interpretation of their gender to your preference for that is all it is the expression of love in your preference. 

The final decision on who they are will be decided by the person who eventually decides to take this home

For he is the formless, self luminous one - shiva. 

Shiva appears as Vishwaroopam or jyothi swaroopam in his cosmic form as an endless shaft of light as a test for Brahma and Vishnu. Whoever reaches his head or feet will be known as the greatest of the trinity. 

That glowing divine light eventually became Arunachala and every year this is celebrated as kartigai Deepavali in Thiruvannamalai.

Art Exhibition at Publika

My first art exhibition took place at the concource area of Publika Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 3 - 15 October 2017. The pop art themed exhibition was held in conjunction with the Deepavalli festivities.

 ENTP is one of the 16 personalities that falls under the #mbti personality test. While some may argue on the accuracy of the test, I for one found the test results revealing and when I found similar type of people on Twitter, for once I didn’t feel so different.

We are people that enjoy the process and gathering of knowledge as well as debating everything regardless of whether we believe in something or not. In other words the ultimate devils advocate. We don’t want to win all arguments, but you better be able to support your point with facts to win an argument with us.

We are also kinda crazy and fun to be around with. This is why we attract a lot of people towards us. People generally love that we are so honest, witty, sarcastic and able to share views on many things.

However it is the same thing that people hate about us as well. Our way rational behaviour has no time for nonsense or sensitivity which means everyone gets treated the same. Irony of our existence.

And that is what I have painted. That despite often being surrounded by people, we are mostly alone. Good thing is as extroverted introverts we enjoy our time alone or the confidence of just a few.
So this is a tribute to my fellow entps.

The Batik Series: Kebaya




So I finally finished the second painting in my batik series. I decided to go the #malaysian route and have painted a #Malay lady in a #kebaya. You know how painstaking it is to draw lace? Let's just say it took my life but the details are really beautiful. 

The Batik series is something that's been playing in my head. I wanted to draw women with Batik flowers in their hair. And my intricate detailing art in their clothing. And I'm continuing the dark skin theme. Like I've said to many people, the people I paint are distinctively dark skinned

The Batik series is something that's been playing in my head. I wanted to draw women with Batik flowers in their hair. And my intricate detailing art in their clothing. Naturally she's wearing a #saree#sareelove #keepcalmandsareeon 

And I'm continuing the dark skin theme. Like I've said to many people, my people are distinctively dark skinned with curly hair. 

Also her face is different, big eyes and connected eyebrow and nose.
Now I need to decide if it's going to be variations of Indian women or Malaysian women.
