Ganesha
I started painting Ganesha's mid last year as he is one of my favourite Hindu gods. I've painted him an unusual shape and form. And now I've become a sort of identity and I'm seeing if I'll be able to reach 108 Ganesha's.

Here are some of the F4 sized Ganesha's

Life

I call this painting life as like life it has hidden secrets. See if you can find the owls, peacock and swans. This painting took 28 hours to complete and was my 40th painting.

Maa Kali

Maa Kali
Personal collection
Finished this Saturday night - this one took 3 nights to complete

This will actually be my first Hindu Goddess. I have been playing with the idea of her in my head for sometime now. but the final image is very much different from what i started off with. but that's how I paint.

The first idea is just a spark, once i start painting it takes its on form.

Shree Chakra

Title: Shree Chakra

This is a really special painting that I've been working on last few days.  Whats special is, I was reciting the gayatri manthra while painting this as I wanted to paint the Shree Chakra on it. So it has a very spiritualistic element to it. The Shree Chakra is said to represent the infinite power of the Goddess; it is the geometric form of the Goddess Herself.

The idea has been flashing in my head for sometime and I finally got it done. Drawing the Chakra took really long as i couldn't see what i was drawing and this is a very complicated pattern of triangles. I actually missed out one and had to redraw it. (so yes if u see it, i know its there).

The chakra is formed by superimposition of 5 downward triangles and 4 upright triangles; a combination of female and male principles. The downward triangles represent female or Shakti, and the upright triangles represent male or Shiva.

All 9 interlocking triangles lead to a creation of 43 smaller triangles; each one of these represents a deity associated with a certain aspect of the existence.

Shiva

I've been wanting to paint #shiva for a long time. This image actually came into my head during #shivaratri but I never got to painting him. Also initially I wanted to make him blue but the combination of colours of bronze, copper n brown from the last painting really interested me. So he finally got painted. #hindu #hinduism
